1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ToldByMe ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ToldByMe is a mobile application that helps users create and preserve personal memoirs using AI-powered features including:

AI-guided interview conversations about your life story
Voice dictation and transcription for hands-free writing
Photo attachment and organization by life era
Timeline visualization of your memories
PDF export for sharing with family

3. No Account Required

ToldByMe does not require account creation or login. All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your device to preserve your memoir data.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all memoirs, memories, photos, recordings, and other content you create in the App ("User Content").

4.2 License Grant

By using the App's AI features, you grant us a limited license to process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing AI functionality (e.g., generating interview questions and polishing narratives). This processing occurs in real-time and your content is not stored on our servers.

4.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

5. AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate interview questions, polish narratives, and enrich content. You acknowledge that:

AI-generated content may not always be perfectly accurate
You should review AI-enhanced content before sharing
AI suggestions are starting points -- you can always edit the final text
We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated content

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Circumvent any usage limits or restrictions
Use automated systems or bots to access the App's AI features
Attempt to abuse the AI service through excessive or malicious requests

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Pixelwright Digital and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIXELWRIGHT DIGITAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR MEMOIR CONTENT.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
